Borussia Monchengladbach picked up an emphatic win over Mainz 05 thanks to Andreas Christensen’s 76th-minute goal. The game ended 1-0 as Mainz failed to score anequaliser.

Schalke was unable to continue their impressive form as Stefan Kiessling’s late strike gave Leverkusen all three points.
