I was having a usual soccer conversation with a friend, and he asked me the question: “who do you think is the best teenager in European football at the moment? Kylian Mbappé Lottin was my reply. I won’t go into further details of that conversation.

However, in this piece, I'll show you all you need to know about Kylian Mbappé Lottin and why he deserves to be so highly-rated.

Who is Kylian Mbappé Lottin?

Kylian Mbappé is a young French footballer born in Paris, 6-months after France had won the 1998 FIFA World Cup. He plays for Ligue 1 club, Monaco. Mbappé wears the number 29 jersey, but he’s nowhere near that number in age – Mbappé is only 18 years old and is a kid who keeps smashing and setting records left and right.

Kylian Mbappé Lottin has been the talk of the French Ligue 1 this season, having helped the Principality club (Monaco) to the summit of the Ligue 1 as well as secure a place in the Champions League quarter-finals – he scored in both legs as they beat Manchester City 6-6 on aggregate.

On 2nd of December 2015, Kylian Mbappé broke Thierry Henry’s record as Monaco youngest ever senior team player at 16 years 347 days, when he appeared as a late substitute in a 1-1 home draw to Caen. He had just broken a 21-year-old record.

He also broke Thierry Henry’s record as Monaco’s youngest ever senior goal-scorer when he scored in the 3-1 victory over Troyes last year – he was just 17 years and 62 days at the time.

A few milestones for Mbappé Lottin

Weighing 68kg, with a height of 5ft9, 18-year-old Kylian Mbappé has reached a few milestones in his young career.

On 14th December 2016, he bagged his first career hat-trick during his side’s 7-nil route of Rennes. When Monaco trashed Metz 5-nil on 11th February, he grabbed yet another hat-trick.

He has played for France at various youth levels – under 17 and under 19, where he helped France win the European under 19 championships. However, just yesterday, news broke that, 18-year-old Mbappé has been invited to the French national team – that makes him one of the youngest players ever to be invited to the French senior national team

Kylian Mbappé Lottin is an amazing young talent, good with both feet, fast and has a powerful shot – the young lad leaves defenders for dead on countless occasions. There are few youngsters in the world of football who come close to exhibiting the amount of skill and finesse this young lad shows, week in week out.

Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry said of Mbappé:

"I've met Mbappé and he's a nice lad with a good head on his shoulders. He is very respectful and quite quiet. But give him the ball and he talks and he isn't very nice anymore! He is determined and never gives up. He is the talk of the town and has so much talent. He has skills, goals, assists. He can do what he wants with the ball.”

Kylian Mbappé Lottin is definitely a world-beater in the making who could help Monaco win plenty of trophies un the near future. If they decide to cash in Mbappé, they could earn plenty of millions for the teenager.
