Mahrez has signed a new deal

Another day is over in the transfer window. There was no significant movement on the day, but we have some deals for you which were completed on August 17.

In the major news from the day, Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez has committed his future to the Foxes. The Algerian winger, who was strongly linked with a move to Arsenal recently, has signed a new contract which will keep him at his current club until 2020.

German international Mario Gomez has returned to Bundesliga. The 31-year-old striker has joined Wolfsburg from Fiorentina in a permanent move. He spent last season on loan at Turkish club Besiktas.

Championship club Aston Villa have signed midfielder Mile Jedinak from Crystal Palace on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee. The Australian signed for the Eagles in 2011 and played a significant role in guiding the club to Premier League. He was the captain of the South London club for last four years.

Serie A giants AC Milan have signed midfielder Jose Sosa from Turkish club Besiktas. The 31-year-old has played for clubs like Bayern Munich, Napoli and Atletico Madrid in his career. The Argentinean has signed a two-year deal with the Milan club.

Championship club Wigan Atheltic have signed their former player Jordi Gomez on a one-year deal from Sunderland. The central midfielder spent five years with the Latics before signing for the Black Cats in 2014.

Hull City midfielder Sam Clucas has committed his future to the Tigers. The 25-year-old, who made 44 appearances for the Tigers in Championship last season, has signed a new three-year deal with the club.

Scotland Premier League side Hibernian have signed Andrew Shinnie on a season-long loan from Championship club Birmingham City.
