In this feature, we will take a look at some of the major transfer deals completed on August 15.

In the major deal of the day, Everton have signed winger Yannick Bolasie from Crystal Palace for £25m. The transfer fee also includes some clauses and could rise up to £30m. The 27-year-old signed a five-year deal with the Toffees and claimed that his decision to join the Merseyside club was motivated by ambition and not money.

Bournemouth have signed defender Marc Wilson in a £2m deal from Stoke City. The Republic of Ireland international, who spent two loan spells with the Cherries in 2007, has signed a two-year deal with the South Coast club. The 28-year-old spent last six seasons of his career with the Potters.

Former Rangers and Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat has taken charge of Turkish club Fenerbahce. The Dutchman had recently accepted the role of assistant manager to Netherlands head coach Danny Blind, but couldn’t turn down an opportunity to get back into club management. Following his appointment, he said that managing one of the biggest clubs in Turkey is a fantastic challenge at his age.

Championship club Wolverhampton Wolves have announced the signing of midfielder Prince Oniangue in a £2m deal from French club from Reims. The 27-year-old, who is Wolves’ fifth signing in just over two weeks, has signed a four-year deal with the West Midlands club.

League One club Coventry City have signed defender Jordan Turnbull from Southampton for an undisclosed fee. The 21-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Sky Blues.
