Chelsea interested in Mario Mandzukic

Chelsea linked with a host of players, close to one signing

Chelsea have been linked with a number of players in the last couple of days.

The Blues, under Antonio Conte, have only signed two players this summer and are expected to be busy in the final stages of the transfer window.

The Sunday Mirror claims that the Blues have turned their attention towards Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic after failing to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton.

The Croatia international signed for Old Lady in a £16m move from Atletico Madrid last summer and is expected to cost £25m to the Blues.

The Sun has linked the club with yet another Juventus player. It claims that Conte wants to sign centre-back Giorgio Chiellini and is preparing a last-minute £25m bid for him.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports claimed that the Blues are still interested in Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Naples are reluctant to sell the Senegal international this summer and have already turned down multiple bids from the West London club.

Last, but not least, Chelsea are closing on a move for Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper Eduardo.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper was a part of the Portugal squad that recently won the Euro Cup.

Zagreb’s manager Zlatko Kranjcar confirmed on Sunday that Eduardo has agreed to join the Blues. When asked if this week’s Champions League game against Red Bull Salzburg will be Eduardo’s last for the club, Kranjcar said: “Yes, I think so.

“Eduardo has been given an amazing opportunity to leave for a big club like Chelsea.

“When he arrived we gained security in our team, and in my time in the club he has defended his goal very well. But the situation is that he is leaving. May he have all the good luck in a big club.”
