Wolfsburg continued their resurgence following a 3-0 win over Freiburg as Mario Gomez bagged a brace and Ricardo Rodriguez converted a spot-kick. The win sees Wolfsburg climb out of the relegation zone and up to 13th place on the table.

Elsewhere, Raul Bobadilla and Halil Altintop helped Augsburg to a 2-0 win at Ingolstadt as both players struck home late into the tie after coming off the bench.

Anthony Modeste failed to score as Cologne suffered a 1-0 defeat away at Frankfurt with Mijat Gacinovic bagging the only goal of the game for Frankfurt.

The result sees Cologne drop to 6th place, but they’ll be keen on getting back on track after the international break.

Bayer Leverkusen carried their Europa form into the Bundesliga as they won 3-2 against Darmstadt. Hakan Calhanoglu, Julian Brandt and Charles Aranguiz were all on target for Leverkusen.
