Joe Hart

Joe Hart’s time over at Man City?

In a surprising move, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola played Willy Caballero ahead of Joe Hart in the 2-1 win over Sunderland today.

Various reports have indicated that the Spanish manager wants to sign another keeper in the transfer window as he doesn’t rate Hart.

Guardiola’s team selection in the game against the Black Cats further indicated that Hart’s future at City is far from certain.

Meanwhile, City have been linked with moves for a couple of goalkeepers.

Duncan Castles, of Daily Record, has claimed that City are looking at Sporting Lisbon keeper Rui Patricio.

The Portugal international, who recently won Euro Cup, reportedly has a €45 million buy-out clause but it is believed that Sporting will let him leave for much less.

The report also added that City have turned their attention towards Patricio after failing in their attempts to sign Marc-Andre ter Stegen from Barcelona.

However, Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo has insisted that City are still interested in the Barcelona keeper.

The German keeper, who is currently recovering from an injury, played only in Champions League games for the Catalan club last season.

Guardiola is hoping that a promise of regular first-team action will convince the German International to join City.
