Daley Blind

Italian clubs linked with Manchester United defensive duo

A number of players have already departed from Old Trafford this summer, and a few more are expected to follow suit.

Recent reports have linked United defensive duo of Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind with moves to Serie A.

Sky Sports have claimed that Serie A clubs AS Roma and Napoli are interested in signing Italian right-back Matteo Darmian.

The 26-year-old, who joined United from Torino last summer, started well in Premier League, but his form suffered as the season progressed.

He failed to make the United’s matchday squads for Community Shied game against Leicester City and the season opener against Bournemouth. It appears that the Italy international doesn’t feature in manager Jose Mourinho’s plans and will be sold this summer.

Italian source SportsMediaset claims that Inter Milan are interested in signing Daley Blind.

Inter are currently managed by Dutch manager Frank de Boer, and he is reportedly interested in bringing his compatriot to San Siro.

Earlier in the summer, it was reported that Blind might depart from United following the arrival of Mourinho, but the Portuguese recently confirmed that the Dutch international is a part of his plans.

Blind has featured in the starting eleven for both of United’s games in the season thus far.
