Arsenal linked with a couple of strikers as the search continues

Arsenal’s hunt for a striker in the transfer market has entered into the last week of the transfer window.
Today, reports have linked the Gunners with a couple of strikers.

Spanish publication El Confidencial claims that the North London club have hijacked Everton’s move for Deportivo La Coruna striker Lucas Perez.

The report claims that the Toffees had been in the negotiations for the 27-year-old for days and were set to finish the transfer for €20m when the Gunners made a late entry into the negotiations.

It now appears that Arsenal have become favourites to sign the striker and are set to finalise the deal for €20m.
Perez, who scored 17 league goals last season, also prefers a move to the Gunners.

The likes of Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Barcelona, Villarreal, Napoli and Leicester City have been linked with Perez in the recent past

In another transfer news, HITC has claimed that Arsenal are eyeing a deal for Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani.

The Algeria international, who scored 27 league goals last season, has also attracted interests from West Ham, Everton and Newcastle.

The report says that the Gunners are willing to pay £25m for the 28-year-old, while Sporting value him at £30m.
